Takara no Michi was created as a path
for each person to encounter the precious takara β the treasure within β
through calligraphy and words.
Within our hearts live many feelings:
joy and sorrow,
uncertainty and longing,
hope and anxiety.
And deeper still,
there are precious qualities
that have always lived within us β
kindness,
love,
conscience,
sensitivity,
courage,
hope,
and many other quiet lights of the heart.
On Takara no Michi,
we call these precious things
within each person
their takara β their inner treasure.
Along this path,
you will encounter many different beings:
kami,
Buddhas,
dragon deities,
auspicious mythical beings,
and many others.
A single kanji character.
A single word.
A piece of calligraphy
or a painting.
Each becomes a TamaοΌη οΌ β
a small jewel of meaning and reflection β
waiting beyond the door
for the moment it meets you.
Some Tama invite you
to look gently within.
Some offer a question.
Some simply stay quietly
by your side.
Others bring courage or hope,
invite reflection on everyday life
and human connection,
or open a space
to contemplate life and love.
Each Tama has its own world.
Yet all of them
share one wish.
Not that you become someone else,
but that you return
to your own heart,
and remember
the precious things
that have always been there
within you.
Into every piece of calligraphy,
and into every word,
I place a quiet prayer
as I continue, little by little,
to bring together
this path called Takara no Michi.
You may begin anywhere.
You may encounter
any Tama first.
Whenever a piece of calligraphy
or a word finds its way to you,
I hope you will take your time
and receive it
through your own heart.
May the moments you spend
on Takara no Michi
become a small doorway
to discovering
the takara β the treasure
that exists only within you.
