Takara no Michi

✨ The Beings and Words You Will Meet on Takara no Michi ✨

Beyond the door of Takara no Michi,
you will encounter

kami and Buddhas,
Ryūjin-sama and Zuijū,

as well as many other beings
who gently stay close to the heart
through calligraphy, words, questions, and stories.

A kami who speaks through a single kanji character.

A goddess who brings quiet questions
deep into the heart.

A kami who watches the human world
with laughter.

A tiny Pegacorn, full of curiosity,
who invites you into the joy of play.

Ryūjin-sama and Little Star,
who look at two different sides of the heart
and search for what may arise between them.

And there are also small letters
that come not from someone else,
but from the soul within you.

Their forms are different.

Their ways of speaking are different.

And the words they bring
are different, too.

Here, I would like to introduce
some of the main beings and forms of words
waiting beyond the door of Takara no Michi

for the moment
they meet you.

✨ About Each Being and Each Form of Words ✨

🦄 Hoshi no Toshokan Shisho Pegacorn
(Star Library Librarian Pegacorn)

A librarian of the Star Library,
watching over the memories of the stars
and the stories each soul has traveled through.

The joys and sorrows we encounter in life.

Love and parting.

Uncertainty and change.

This Pegacorn sees each of them
as a precious page
that adds color to the story of the soul.

Through Tama of the Soul in Love,
as well as stories of dreams, play,
and the many experiences of life,

this quiet librarian reminds us
of the preciousness
of living, experiencing, and feeling.

🦄 Pegacorn Jr.
(A Gentle Companion Who Encourages the Heart)

With bright and honest words,
Pegacorn Jr. gently stays beside hearts
that have tried a little too hard
or have grown a little tired.

“It’s okay.”

“A big gold star for you today.”

Through simple and familiar words like these,
Pegacorn Jr. brings comfort and hope.

On days when you want to stop for a while,
and on days when you feel ready
to take another small step,

Pegacorn Jr. seems to cheer you on
from right beside you:

“You can go at your own pace.”

A warm and friendly companion
who is always there to encourage you.

🦄 Pegacorn ♡ Baby
(A Little Pegacorn Full of Curiosity)

A tiny Pegacorn
filled with curiosity.

To discover.

To feel.

To move.

To play.

To create freely.

Pegacorn ♡ Baby leads us toward
the little discoveries and joys
hidden in everyday life.

What matters is not doing something perfectly.

What matters first
is simply enjoying it.

By cherishing each child’s own sense of

“I like this”

and

“This is fun,”

Pegacorn ♡ Baby gently encourages
their curiosity and sensitivity.

⭐ Pegacorn ☆ Little Star

(A Young Seeker Learning About the Heart)

A little older than Pegacorn Jr.,
Little Star has begun learning
about the heart
and about how we live.

“Why?”

“What does that mean?”

With eyes full of curiosity,
Little Star explores the world of the heart
alongside Hakuryū and Kinryū.

In Alchemy of the Heart,
Little Star encounters things
that may at first seem like opposites:

strength and weakness

independence and relying on others

sensitivity and reason

Little Star gradually discovers
that each side has something precious to offer,

and begins searching for
the new wisdom that may arise
from the space between them.

“I want to know.”

“I want to feel.”

“I want to keep growing.”

Through this open and sincere spirit,
Little Star reminds us

that no matter how old we are,
we can continue learning
and continue growing.

🌟 Meccha Shōfukujin-sama
(A Laughing Kami of Joy and Good Fortune)

A cheerful kami
who has traveled from place to place,
watching people laugh, cry, struggle,
and make their way through life.

Even on days when nothing seems to go right,
or when we feel a little embarrassed
by something we have done,

Meccha Shōfukujin-sama watches warmly
and laughs:

“Well, that’s being human, isn’t it?”

This kami also loves discovering
the little blessings hidden in everyday life.

Takoyaki is a particular favorite.

After spending so much time in Osaka,
even the way this kami speaks
has become thoroughly Kansai-style.

A joyful, wandering kami
with a wonderful sense of humor.

🖌 Kanji no Ojīchan Kami-sama
(Kanji Grandfather Kami)

Through a single kanji character,
Kanji no Ojīchan Kami-sama shares
the feelings and wisdom
that can unfold from within it,

speaking in warm and familiar words.

Sometimes he laughs.

Sometimes he pauses.

And sometimes,
he simply thinks alongside us.

Soul
Light
Life
Heart
Love
Happiness
Dance

Beyond each single character
lies an entire world,

and Kanji no Ojīchan Kami-sama
gently tells us its story.

🩵 Toi no Megami-sama
(Goddess of Questions)

Rather than giving you answers,
Toi no Megami-sama offers
quiet questions
that help you discover your own heart.

“Why did I feel that way?”

“What do I truly want?”

“What do I want to cherish?”

By turning our attention toward a question,
we may begin to notice feelings
that had not yet found words,

or wishes that had been resting
deep within the heart.

Instead of searching outside ourselves
for the answer,

she gently opens a small doorway
through which we can listen
to our own hearts.

❤️ Kotonoha no Megami-sama
(Goddess of Words)

Kotonoha no Megami-sama brings us
the warmth, resonance,
and quietness held within words.

She also stays gently beside
feelings that cannot yet be put into words,

casting a soft light
upon emotions we may have tucked away
and feelings we may not yet have noticed.

She does not hand us words
as final answers.

Instead, she asks,

“How does this feel to you?”

And then gently leaves
what comes next
to each person’s own heart.

🌗 Awai no Megami-sama
(Goddess of Awai)

Joy and sorrow.

The heart that wants to move forward
and the heart that wants to stay still.

The heart that longs for connection
and the heart that fears being hurt.

Awai no Megami-sama stands quietly
in the space between two feelings
that cannot easily be reduced
to one side or the other.

Rather than rushing to decide
between A and B,

she reminds us:

A has its reasons.

B holds something precious, too.

Without erasing either one,
she holds them both

and waits
until an answer is ready to emerge.

What Awai no Megami-sama treasures most is:

to hold, and to wait.

She quietly reminds us
that even the time
when no answer can yet be seen

may hold something deeply meaningful.

🎶 Benzaiten-sama
(Goddess of Words, Arts, Sensitivity, and Talent)

Words, sound, art, sensitivity, talent.

Benzaiten-sama watches over
the rich abilities
that live within each person.

Talent does not only mean
being better than someone else.

It may also live quietly
in the things that somehow draw your heart,

the things you seem to sense naturally,

or the things
you simply want to keep doing.

Benzaiten-sama reminds us
to cherish our own sensitivity,

to nurture what has been given to us,

and to discover the joy
of connecting those gifts
with other people and with the world.

☀ Hifumi no Kokoro no Kami-sama
(Hifumi Heart Kami)

Through encountering
Hifumi Shinji(日月神示, also read as Hitsuki Shinji),
Toshu felt and received certain messages of the heart.

Hifumi no Kokoro no Kami-sama shares those impressions
in gentle words
that can reach people living today.

To look within your own heart.

To avoid becoming too caught up
in the ego.

To gradually clear and quiet the heart.

To honor one another’s paths
without turning differences into conflict.

With the quiet words,

“Dear one,”

Hifumi no Kokoro no Kami-sama gently guides us
toward a time of looking within.

🪭 Shichifukujin
(The Seven Lucky Gods)

Ebisu-sama

Daikokuten-sama

Bishamonten-sama

Benzaiten-sama

Fukurokuju-sama

Jurōjin-sama

Hotei-son

Through the unique character
of each of the Shichifukujin,

we explore many forms of
fuku — blessing and good fortune
that can be found in everyday life:

work
abundance
the strength to protect
the arts
health
longevity
laughter

Benzaiten-sama is one of the Shichifukujin.

On Takara no Michi, however,
Benzaiten-sama also appears independently
in Tama that explore

talent, sensitivity, and words.

🐉 Ryūjin-sama
(Dragon Deities)

Hakuryū — White Dragon

Kinryū — Golden Dragon

Seiryū — Blue Dragon

Tōryū — Peach Dragon

Each Ryūjin-sama
has a different character and role.

They speak about
many powers of the heart
that we encounter
as we walk our own paths:

courage
love
hope
sensitivity
reason
conscience
will

In Alchemy of the Heart,
Hakuryū joins Pegacorn ☆ Little Star
in looking at two forces
that may at first seem opposed.

Rather than erasing one side,
they come to know both,

and search for the new wisdom
that can arise
from understanding them together.

Kinryū also walks beside Little Star,

speaking about
the inner powers we wish to cherish as human beings:

sensitivity
reason
conscience
awareness
will
love

and more.

And through our encounter
with the new presence we call AI,

Kinryū raises questions such as:

What does it mean to be human?

What does it mean to feel?

What does it mean to create?

While exploring these questions,
Kinryū offers wisdom
for how we might live alongside AI

without losing sight
of our own hearts.

On Takara no Michi,
dragons who bring words
as divine beings
are introduced as

Ryūjin-sama — dragon deities.

💫 Zuijū
(Auspicious Mythical Beings)

Kirin

Hōō — Phoenix

Byakko — White Tiger

the Sacred Tortoise — 霊亀(Reiki)

Through their different forms
and symbolism,

the Zuijū share qualities of heart
that we may wish to cherish as human beings.

Benevolence.

Righteousness.

Courtesy.

Wisdom.

Trust.

Virtue.

Through their own personalities
and stories,

these beings invite us
to reflect on many forms
of wisdom and inner character.

🪷 Oshaka-sama
(Shakyamuni Buddha)

Oshaka-sama quietly shares wisdom
for living with compassion toward ourselves,

without rejecting
our suffering or uncertainty.

Turning gently toward
even our most painful feelings,

we begin to loosen
what we have been holding too tightly,

little by little,

and look again at the path
of cherishing the life
that is here with us now.

⛩ Yaoyorozu no Kami
(The Myriad Kami of Japan)

These are the countless kami
who have long been felt
within the nature and everyday life of Japan.

A heart that values harmony.

A heart that acts with respect.

A heart that cherishes nature and life.

A heart that feels gratitude
for what cannot always be seen.

Through stories with many different kami,
we explore the wisdom and values
that have long been cherished in Japan.

✉ Tamashii kara no Tegami

(Letters from the Soul)

These are not words
sent to you by someone else.

They are quiet letters
that arrive
from the soul within you.

When you feel lost.

When you lose confidence.

When you have simply grown a little tired.

“You’ve come such a long way.”

“You are irreplaceable.”

In this way,
these letters gently remind you
of something precious
you may have begun to forget.

They are not here
to give you the answer.

They are small letters
to help you begin walking again,

while cherishing yourself
a little more deeply.

✨ Beyond the Door ✨

When we see them all together,
we realize that Takara no Michi is home to

many different beings,

many different words,
questions,
and stories.

Their voices are different.

The things they invite us to look at
are different, too.

Who will you meet today?

What piece of calligraphy will appear?

What words will stay in your heart?

Or perhaps
a letter may find its way to you.

Enjoy each encounter as it comes,

and gently open
the door to Takara no Michi.

A Tama or a few unexpected words
may become a small doorway

leading you toward
the takara — the treasure within you.

※ About Takara no Michi

Takara no Michi is not intended
to promote or impose
any particular religion, faith, or doctrine.

Through the kami and other beings
who appear here,

as well as through words, questions,
and letters,

Toshu brings together
the words and images she has received

as creative expressions
in the form of calligraphy,
words,
art,
questions,
prayers,
and stories.

This path is not here
to ask you to believe
in one particular answer.

Rather, I hope you will enjoy it freely
as a small doorway

through which an encounter with words
may invite you
to look into your own heart.

Which words remain with you?

Which questions make you pause?

What do you feel
when you encounter them?

How you receive them
is something I leave entirely
to your own heart.
